Welcome to Myztro Weekly Updates!

Every week, the Myztudio Team will recap the news, replays, and action from the week prior to keep you updated.

Here’s what went down this week:

Quake Champions

Quake Pro League

Quake Pro League Stage 2 went off without a hitch this week. A new scheduling process was announced by Bethesda, in which there are 4 matches per region per matchday, for a grand total of 8 matches per day, a lot like last stage. However, regions will alternate, with 2 EU matches starting the day, then 2 NA matches, then the process repeats with the final 2 matches per region. Also, every week’s matchups have been announced beforehand, to give players and fans plenty of time to prepare for bigger matchups, as well as the system being switched to a swiss format, where every player plays every other player from their region.

The first match of the day was RAISY vs Av3k, and RAISY came out swinging. Since coming off a runner-up placement in Lucca, he clinched a clean sweep of Av3k, taking Blood Run 9-6, Awoken 18-7, and Vale of Pnath 18-12.

Vengeur was up next, and he also swept Xron 3-0, taking Blood Covenant 7-3, Awoken 11-5, and Molten Falls 8-4. He’s seeking high placement yet again before Stage 2 Finals at IEM Katowice in 2020.

Next week, RAISY will face off against Xron, while Vengeur will have a bye.

Quake Challengers

2 Myztro Quake players also participated in Stage 2 of Quake Challengers on Saturday. HELL bowed out in the Round of 32, while the recently relegated GaRpY made it all the way to the Quarterfinals before falling to bukzter. Both HELL and GaRpY will be playing again next weekend to gather more points to hopefully get back into the QPL.

Fortnite

Saying Week 3 of the Fortnite Champion Series was insane is an understatement. First up, Tj’s squad of mevs, Severin, and FlowiS placed 63rd Overall in the EU Semifinals, while Whai’s team of Crippa, Zyppaan, and Tchub made it into finals with a 15th Overall Placement.

But it didn’t end there.

Sunday’s Finals were BIG. In the 6 matches allotted, Whai and his team secured 1 Victory Royale and 45 Elims, as well as clinching average 7th Place finishes. This gave them 87 Points and First Place overall in the Week 3 Finals!

Whai and his team brought back $36,000 USD and a spot in the FNCS Grand Finals on December 6th-8th.
